Can someone let me know if we can go a PCP and take medication for INH for 9 months for a positive skin test and negative x-ray.
Or it is a rule that we need to go only to local county health dept.

Could some one please clarify?
My wife and I were entered on AP lately and since I work for the same employer, I am still working on my H1 and am planning to extend my H1. My wife is working on EAD, can she still able to apply for H4 based on my H1? We want to have her H4 as a back-up!

As soon as your wife used EAD, her H4 status was gone.
For you it would still be safe to continue working on H1.
Your advantages are:
1) Having dual status (H1B and AOS) is better than one.
2) You do not have to worry about EADs for yourself.

One of my friends is saying Job experience with the same company would not count towards? So this means will i have to change jobs and hope that my I-140 for the current employer is not withdrawn. Pl. advise.

my 485 was filed abt 1.5 years back. 140 has been approved for more than 8 months too.
So now if I want to change my job
Using EAD , I know that job duties have to be similar.
How about on H1b transfer? Does the job duties similar requirement hold good?
Also anyone changing job on H1b , if ex-employer withdraws I-140, what kind of RFE does it generate?

As we move closer to an Immigration reform, even government officials agree that such major change is very necessary. Here are some remarks by Secretary Napolitano on Immigration Reform at the Center for American Progress:
Over the past year, as this Administration has pursued more effective strategies within the current laws, the picture of how exactly those laws need to be changed has become clearer than ever before. In the past ten months, we have made tough choices, and implemented significant reforms within the current legal framework�but they are not enough to create the system that we want or that we need. If we are truly going to fix a broken system, Congress will have to act.When it comes to immigration, I took an oath as Secretary of Homeland Security to secure the nation by enforcing the law and managing legal flows across the border. Let me be clear: to do this job as effectively as possible, DHS needs immigration reform.Reform legislation would provide lasting and dedicated resources at our borders, and provide some critical legal tools that we don�t currently have to combat smuggling organizations. For example, we need tougher anti-smuggling laws in dealing with the aggravated crimes smugglers commit�including assaulting law enforcement officers, endangering children, threatening relatives and abandoning people in the desert� hundreds of whom succumb to death from heat and lack of water. We also need to update current laws that don�t cover some of the new means by which criminals conduct their business. What can be done?

Hi,
My H1B expired on sept 2009. My employer applied for my visa extension I received my approved 797 copy, but I 94 number on my 797 and passport are not matching. To explain further, when I first entered in US in March 2007 I got I 94 (ex: 123), when I last time entered in US in April 2008 I got I94 (ex: 456) which is my latest I94 number displayed on my passport. My latest H1B extension valid till sept 2012 is showing I 94 number issued to me when I entered in 2007 (123) instead of my latest I 94 number(456) attached to my passport.
Will this be a problem? I have to sponsor my in-laws visa so please guide me how this can be handled. Any help appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

I think it is time we started our own chapter in NE and get the action going. Members from Nebraska, please respond.
Yes that's the spirit. Starting off is difficult but you only need a few dedicated members to get the ball rolling, and motivate others. We have members in different parts of NC, and we are able to get a lot of things done on the phone or internet.
You can start by creating a google or yahoo group, and verify member information (name, contact info and such) as you sign them up.

My opinion - Check this with a lawyer. Seems to be complicated. Not sure if there is anything against the law done by you /your company (that affects you). Thats why the need for a good lawyer to understand the details in the case. All the best!!!

Employer can revoke 140 but as 180 days have passed you will have to demonstrate to USCIS that your 140 would have been approved with the new company if it was filed. That is somewhat not very straightforward so my suggestion is that you should take your employer in confidence so that 140 is not revoked......
AC21 - Job title can be different but job duties have to be similar. Similar duties are a MUST to avoid any issues with AOS.......also you dont have to inform USCIS that you changed your employer........there are pros and cons of it but what I have seen is that most people do not infrom USCIS......when USCIS comes to a point that they will adjust your status they might check with you if you are working with same employer and issue a RFE which you can respond to easily with the help of an attorney (just hv to make sure that job duties are similar and the new employer will issue you a letter which will prove it)
Make sure that you talk to HR and your manager if you take up a new job to acertain that job duties match, run both job descriptions by your attorney......better to take precaution than to be sorry.

What is the best possible solution to get around different place birth on Passport and BC. Any has affidavit format for such issue please share it.
According to chat transcript from a lawyer's site some one had the same question. The answer is "USCIS does not care much about secondary document like passport and what's in the primary document like Birth certificate is important and matters". In other words they may not be comparing the passport and birth certificate for place of birth. Just my 2cents as I'm not a lawyer.

Why you take lawyer's help for this simple thing. ?
Almost everybody renewed EAD/AP by themselves.
EAD/AP filings must go to your I-485 processing center.
I think, if the lawyer send to wrong center, it will redirect to the correct center, there will be a time delay for this.
Same here! Our lawyer send our EAD,AP renewals to NSC,even though my 485 is pending at TSC(Last July got transferred from NSC).Till far no LUDs no any thing regarding them.I applied on June 30th and till far no update.Is this normal?

hello, I am in a F1 status for about 3 years, I have been working and filing taxes. I am going to get married to a USC and apply for a green card through it. I want to know if I can have any problem in the aplication since I've been working without authorization.
Once you entered legally you should be able to get permanent residence even if you worked without authorization. As far as I recollect, the Murthy article was about the spouse(dependent) receiving a GC (as part of a derivative spousal application) when his/her spouse(primary beneficiary)'s PD or her PD was not yet current.
Primary beneficiary had not received the GC, but spouse received it in error. May be that's diff from the situation where the primary beneficiary himself/herself receives the GC while the PD is not current.

I think it would be better idea to call them and find out their hours of operation. The address is usually given on the FP notice letter.
