Does .net framework give access to complete functionality of Windows OS?
Is .net used by Microsoft to build any applications. If so please give some examples. Is win32 api and C++ or is .net with C# the preferred way. When is win32 api used explicitly?

San Diego Immigration lawyer informed that the Department of Homeland Security, USCIS has submitted the information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on June 9, 2009, at 74 FR 27339, allowing for a 60-day public comment period. USCIS did not receive any comments for this information collection. The purpose of this notice is to allow an additional 30 days for public comments. Comments are encouraged and will be accepted until October 2, 2009. This process is conducted in accordance with 5 CFR 1320.10.
Written comments and suggestions especially regarding the estimated public burden and associated response time, should be directed to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) USCIS Desk Officer. Comments may be submitted to: USCIS, Chief, Regulatory Products Division, Clearance Office, 111 Massachusetts Avenue, Washington, DC 20529-2210. Dear All,
I got a labor substitution and filed for my I-140 and I-485 concurrently. Today was the last day to send the documents and some paperwork was missing for my wife! I missed sending the package!
Now how should i proceed?? My wife is on H1-B currently. Any ideas??
My priority date is 25 jan 05 - eb2.

If you missed this time around, you can apply 485 for your wife only when your PD becomes current. Your wife will have to continue working on her H-1B since EAD isn't an option anymore.
Just curious: what paperwork was missing as a result of which you missed this boat? I hope it wasn't trivial in the grand scheme of things.

If you do get the F-1 visa, then you likely would not face any difficulty at the airport. However, F-1 visa requires non-immigration intent, which would be very difficult, if not impossible, for you to prove. Unfortunately, even J-1 visa requires you to prove non-immigration intent. So if you go outside USA, very likely you will not be able to get back. Therefore, I believe that traveling in your state is not advisable; you should stay put until your children's father is in a position to marry you. Then you can obtain the fiancee visa (K-1) and travel abroad.

Mostly they do not ask you 797 if you have valid stamping. You need to show new original 797 only if you have extended one, so that they will issue i-94 till end of your extension, otherwise your i94 will have expiry date (of stamping in passport ) as your end date of I-94.

I am currently using EAD. My I-485 is pending status. I am planning to get married in India soon. She will be in India as I can not bring her on H4 and student visa is difficult. So dilemma is about 485 name addition. Can I add spouse's name in I-485 application whenever Priority Date is current?
If yes, then how does it work? I mean is it possible at all?
As long as you get married before your I-485 is approved, you can file a 'follow-to-join' petition for your spouse when your priority date becomes current. You will need to submit I-824 when your PD becomes current. Your spouse will obtain an immigrant visa overseas after the petition is approved.
You may contact an immigration attorney if you cannot file this on your own and require help.

Employer needs to stop smoking weed and concentrate on work. Jokes apart there was no such proposal ever in pipeline so there is no way anything like this ever was approved. 6 year limit on H1 is a law that cannot be changed by admin process. It needs to pass house & senate. Also 6 year limit makes lot of people go back to home countries and uncle sam can consume their SS & Medicare taxes.

The first status is that USCIS has approved your EAD and ordered for a card. The second status means that they mailed you the card. You should get the card in next 5 business days.

Thanks for letting me know. I think paskal is in India now. Anyways we had a very small window of time to seek someone quickly. got to the SSN office with ur receipt, tell them you are waiting for ...... long for the card. you need the number to give to the employer. most of the officers would look in the system and would give you the number.
